What Am I Waiting For?

Who is God preparing to send as my Christian soul mate for life?
As I wait for His intended mate I know he will be right.

What am I looking for?
Who do I hope to find?
What kind of man is out there?
Who is in my mind?

I want a real man; a feeling man, a talker and a listener…
With integrity and honor; one who’s a really good kisser.
Creative and passionate with strong convictions in his heart,
Sensing needs, and wants, and ready to do his part.

I want a real man; a true man; supportive and expressive…
One who appreciates new challenges and won't be oppressive.
A reader, a writer, or a thinker would be fine,
In touch with his own identity; as personality and soul aligns.

I want a real man; a tall man; lean and smooth and strong…
One who touches my spirit and sends my heart aloft.
To cuddle, and snuggle up together when it’s cold,
I want him to be with me and see with me, as true partners of the soul.

Even-tempered, open-minded, slow to anger and ne’er to rage…
Neither a possessor, a controller nor a smoke or drink engage,
Emotional, yet healthy, a man of quality to be sure,
Well read; well spoken; full of curiosity and allure.

I want a real man; a sharing man; generous and kind…
One who interacts with me and enjoys pleasures of the sublime.
Respectful of my privacy, and is within himself complete,
Wondering when will our paths cross;
and asking, God, when will we meet?
